La Cantería Beach: An exotic corner in Lanzarote

Lanzarote

La Cantería is one of Lanzarote's northern beaches and one of the most popular with surfers. Located in the village of Órzola, in the north of the island, this exotic shore offers a unique combination of sun, walks with stunning views and tranquillity.

The name La Cantería comes from the stone quarry for construction that was located near the beach. It is also known as Playa de Atrás de Órzola.

A place of reference among surfers

La Cantería has earned a reputation as one of the best beaches for water sports on the island. Its excellent location, bathed by the waves of the Atlantic and protected by the Risco de Famara, makes it an ideal destination for surfers of all levels.

The waves in this area stand out for being consistent and powerful, perfect for surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and bodysurfing. It is not surprising that the beach is always lively with numerous sportsmen and women on their boards.
