In addition, its incredible crystal clear turquoise waters make it a magical place where you can do various activities such as snorkelling. This beach also has spectacular white sand, although you can also find rocky areas, so it is advisable to wear suitable footwear to walk on them.

 

Regarding the atmosphere, it does not stand out for being a very crowded beach, thus offering a serene atmosphere, making it the perfect place for those who are looking to escape from the crowded places. It is important to note that access to this beach is easy if you come from Órzola, a nearby village, but you should bear in mind that once on the beach you won't have any nearby services such as bars or restaurants. It is therefore recommended that you bring everything you need for the day.

 

What activities can I enjoy at this beach?  

This place is not only a beach where you can take a refreshing swim during a hot day, but it also offers a wide range of activities that you can enjoy during your time there. Here are some of the activities:

 

Snorkelling and scuba diving: Explore the marine fauna that this coast offers thanks to its incredible crystal clear water that allows you to observe the seabed.
Hiking: Enjoy the spectacular hiking opportunities that the surrounding area offers through a volcanic landscape.
Photography: The landscapes offered by this location are worthy of immortalising them with a photo, which is why if you are a lover of photography, we recommend that you take your camera with you when you visit.

Location and access

As we have already mentioned, this small corner of golden sand is located on the north coast of Lanzarote, near the small village of Órzola. This area is known for its volcanic landscapes and its proximity to the volcano La Corona, one of the most important volcanoes on the island. As for how to get there, you can do so in the following ways:

 

By car: It is feasible to go to Caletón Blanco from the city of Arrecife in Lanzarote taking the LZ-1 towards the north, the estimated vehicle journey is about 35 minutes approximately. To reach this destination just follow the signs marked on the road in the direction of Órzola.
Public Transport: There are frequent buses or guaguas leaving from Arrecife and other large areas to Órzola. Once there, you can choose to walk or take a taxi to the beach.
On foot or by bicycle: It is feasible for the daring to walk or cycle from Órzola and still get a glimpse of the exquisite views of the volcanic scenery.

 

Practical Advice

To protect your skin and eyesight from the intense summer sun, don't forget to bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Also, to move around the volcanic terrain comfortably, wear suitable footwear so as not to hurt yourself.

 

It is also important that you take enough water and food with you, because as we mentioned before, there are no nearby places to do any shopping on the beach, and above all, respect the environment, since in the unspoilt natural area of Caletón Blanco, it is essential to dispose of waste properly and not to damage the rocky structures.
